The Companion Lab

The Companion Lab is an independent, hands-on review site for AI girlfriend and AI companion apps. Instead of rewriting vendor landing pages, we register for each product, run the same six-message conversation and memory benchmark, walk every character creator, and check the plans pages ourselves. Where a free account stops, we pay with our own card and record what the charge actually says on the bank statement. Every review shows the evidence behind its scores, including what we could not test. The site also offers free no-signup character creator replicas, a five-question app finder quiz, first-party pricing and memory statistics, safety and billing guides, and plain-markdown versions for AI assistants. It is built for readers choosing between apps such as Secrets, Nomi, Kindroid, Candy, Ourdream, SpicyChat, DreamGF, Xotic, GirlfriendGPT and EroLove. Some outbound links are affiliate links, clearly disclosed, but commissions never decide a score or ranking. We do not publish explicit images.
